inp.polri.go.id – The Noken Community Development (Binmas) of Cartenz Peace Ops collaborated with Nduga Regency Youth Leader, Henky Mofu, to improve the welfare of the community by opening pig farms, Wednesday (20/04/2022).
The activity of opening farmland was led directly by Ipda Murtono, SH., as the Regional Coordinator of the region, along with Binmas Noken personnel for the Nduga Region.
The Head of Investigation Unit (Kasatgasres) of Nduga, AKBP I Komang Budirtha, said that the activities are a real act of the Police's concern for the community to help improve the economy of the society through the livestock sector.
"We are opening pig farms for breeding so that later they can be shared with other people. Through activities like this, it is hoped that this pen would make the community's economic growth independent," said Kasatgres Nduga.
In addition, it is hoped that with the opening of a pig farm, Hengky Mofu will be more motivated and enthusiastic in raising the given pigs, so that the livestock can develop well.
The Head of Public Relations of Cartenz Peace Ops, Commissioner Drs. Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, confirmed the activity when asked by the media crew in Jayapura
" Our presence in The Land of Cendrawasih, especially in Nduga Regency, is striving to help improve the welfare of the community by implementing Binmas Noken programs, one of which is the Kasuari Program (Welfare for State) by building a pig pen and providing a pair of livestock," said the Head of the Public Relations of the Task Force.
Furthermore, the Head of the Public Relations of the Task Force explained that establishing a pigpen, it is hoped that it will be useful for the community in a long run.
Meanwhile, Henky Mofu expressed his gratitude for the help to the community and he will support every upcoming program in the future.
"Not only providing security, but they also helped us in the economic field by sending food supplies, plant seeds, and pigs," he said.
"I, as one of the prominent traditional figures representing the Nduga community, really hope that activities like this can continue to be carried out because in our opinion this activity is very good and beneficial for the Nduga community," he concluded.
