inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto approved plans to expand the House Renovation Program in 2027 to expand public access to decent housing, while continuing to accelerate the construction of subsidized housing and the national housing program.

"The House Renovation Program targets the renovation of 400,000 uninhabitable houses into safe and comfortable housing for people in various regions," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Wednesday (6/10/2026).

According to Teddy, this approval was given after President Prabowo received a report from Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Maruarar Sirait, regarding the progress of several priority programs in the housing sector aimed at improving the quality of public housing and expanding access to decent and affordable housing.

In addition to the House Renovation Program, Maruarar Sirait also reported on the progress of the construction of subsidized flats in the Meikarta area, Bekasi Regency, which is part of the accelerated 3 Million Homes Program.

"The progress of the construction of subsidized flats in the Meikarta area, Bekasi Regency, is part of the acceleration of the 3 Million Homes Program, which is currently in the land clearing and groundbreaking stages," explained Teddy.

He further stated that the Minister of PKP also announced plans to expand the House Renovation Program in 2027 to expand the program's reach to those in need.

President Prabowo has also approved the plan as part of the government's efforts to strengthen the housing program for the community.

The government also continues to encourage the implementation of various priority programs in the housing sector, including the construction of subsidized housing for low-income communities, the construction of flats, the improvement of slum areas, and the development of more accessible housing financing schemes.

"These efforts are part of the government's commitment to providing decent, affordable, and quality housing for all Indonesians," concluded Teddy.
