inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that his office supports four steps taken by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to reorganize the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, including preparing child health and nutrition experts from within the Ministry of Health.
The four steps include refocusing beneficiaries, a moratorium on the construction of new kitchens, improvements to existing kitchens, and the development of a new MBG implementation scheme in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas.
"Whoever experts they choose, we are preparing the best," said Budi on Tuesday (6/9/2026).
In addition to preparing experts, his office is also synergizing concepts, data, and program details. He also expressed his appreciation for the steps taken by the new BGN leadership.
On that occasion, the Head of BG, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, stated that her agency needs the support of the Ministry of Health in refocusing beneficiaries, as the future target beneficiaries of the MBG will be pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers (3B), which are the Ministry of Health's area of focus.
She also expressed her gratitude for the appreciation and support of Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin and all his staff for BGN.
"Going forward, this collaboration will continue and become even stronger, in an effort to prepare Indonesia's golden generation in 2045," she said.
