Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military have demonstrated commendable performance in executing security measures for the 43rd ASEAN Summit, held in Jakarta from September 5 to 7, 2023.
Intelligence, Defense, and Security Analyst Ngasiman Djoyonegoro praised the proactive and unified efforts of both the INP and Indonesian Military throughout the ASEAN Summit.
"Appreciating the proactive and unified efforts of INP and Indonesian Military throughout the ASEAN Summit. Especially, the event not only witnessed the heads of ASEAN member states' presence, but also leaders from several advanced countries, including Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, China, and other Pacific countries," he said.
This success underscores the effectiveness of Indonesia's high-level security preparations. The timely anticipation of cyber threats during the ASEAN Summit showcases the preparedness of the police, considering the digitally-driven nature of most summit activities. With early detection capabilities in place, all potential threats can be proactively addressed.
Beyond security, another noteworthy achievement of the 43rd ASEAN Summit lies in the successful establishment of collaborations with countries beyond Southeast Asia. Anchored by the theme 'ASEAN Epicentrum of Growth,' Indonesia's leadership has enhanced ASEAN's role in the global arena.
