Inp.polri.go.id. Jakarta - The Immigration Office at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang has introduced the golden visa program for foreign investors, offering a streamlined process to strengthen Indonesia's target to be a primary economic and investment hub.
Muhammad Tito Andrianto, the Head of the Soetta Immigration Office, said on Friday (8/9/2023) that his office has taken extensive measures to ensure the smooth reception of foreign nationals arriving at the airport under the golden visa scheme.
The golden visa program, officially enforced following approval by the Minister of Law and Human Rights last month, is tailored for foreign individuals who make significant investments in Indonesia, antaranews.com reported.
The program offers two options: a five-year stay with a minimum investment of IDR 38 billion (about USD 2.5 million) or a ten-year stay with an investment of IDR 76 billion (around USD 5 million).
Corporate investors who form companies in Indonesia with investments of IDR 380 billion (about USD 25 million) qualify for a five-year visa for their directors and commissioners. Likewise, a ten-year visa is available with an investment of USD 50 million or roughly IDR 760 billion.
One of the key perks is that Golden Visa holders are exempt from applying for a limited stay permit (ITAS) at the immigration office, simplifying the process. This program aims to attract more foreign investment, positioning Indonesia as an attractive destination for global business opportunities, with Jakarta leading the way.
