Indonesia’s men's doubles Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto advanced to the final of the 2025 Indonesia Masters after defeating Thailand’s Kittnupong Kedren and Dechapol Puavaranukroh 21-14, 24-22 in the semifinals at Istora Senayan stadium, Jakarta, Saturday evening (25/1/2025).

In the first game, Fajar/Rian dominated from the start, leading 11-6 at the interval. They continued their strong performance, closing the game with a 21-14 victory, according to antaranews.com.

The second game was more competitive, with Fajar/Rian leading 11-8 at the interval. Despite a late rally from their opponents, Fajar/Rian fought back to level the score and won 24-22 to seal the match.

Fajar/Rian will face Malaysia’s Wei Chong Man and Kai Wun Tee in the final, after they defeated compatriots Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Soh. 

The Indonesian duo’s win follows Jonatan Christie’s earlier achievement, as he also secured a spot in the final in the men’s singles category.
