Inp.polri.go.id - CIanjur. The Cianjur Regency Government in West Java confirmed that an electronic ID card (e-KTP) bearing the name Aron Geller, allegedly an Israeli citizen, is fake and not registered in Indonesia’s national population database.

Cianjur Regent Mohammad Wahyu Ferdian said on Sunday (26/10/2025) that checks conducted with the local Population and Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil) found no matching National Identification Number (NIK) or record.

“After verifying through the national system, there was no data under the name Aron Geller, so we can confirm the e-KTP circulating on social media is fake,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Local authorities also inspected the listed address in Sirnagalih Village, Cilaku District, where residents confirmed no foreigner had ever lived there. Head of Cianjur Population and Civil Registry Office, Asep Kusmanawijaya, added that the ID had been reported months ago and was proven counterfeit.

He advised the public to verify suspicious ID cards directly at the Population and Civil Registry offices, especially before business transactions.
