“This was decided after all parties discussed with the victims’ families. The families also agreed to the use of heavy equipment,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
The National Rescue Agency (Basarnas and BNPB said they deployed 219 trained personnel, five cranes and other heavy machinery, plus 300 body bags and medical support; operations will run only in daylight and each lift will be followed by reassessment to protect rescuers.
Officials stressed the phase aims to recover victims safely while forensic and investigative steps continue.
