Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Cybercrime investigators from the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have arrested a 22-year-old man accused of illegally accessing and manipulating customer data from a private bank.
The suspect, identified as WFT, allegedly operated social media accounts under the names @bjorka and @Bjorkanesiaa.
“The suspect was arrested on 23 September 2025 in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. He posted screenshots of a bank’s customer database, claiming to have hacked 4.9 million accounts, and attempted to extort the bank,” said Superintendent Fian Yunus, the Deputy Director of Cybercrime at the Metro Jaya Police, during a press conference Thursday (2/10/2025).
Police seized two phones, one tablet, SIM cards, and a hard drive containing 28 emails linked to the suspect, according to antaranews.com.
Authorities said the act harmed the bank’s reputation and risked eroding customer trust, despite no confirmed data breach. Suspect WFT has been active under the alias “Bjorka” since 2020. He faces up to 12 years in prison and a Rp12 billion fine under Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law.
