Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program to continue, with stronger governance and safety standards, despite recent food poisoning incidents, Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayatana said Thursday (2/10/2025).
“I am ordered by the President to accelerate MBG because many parents are waiting. I will continue unless there is another instruction,” he told reporters at the Ministry of Health.
Dadan said BGN is investigating the extraordinary incident (KLB) of mass poisoning, ensuring trauma recovery support for families, and covering all treatment costs for affected children. Local administrations may also claim costs through BPJS or insurance.
He added that all nutrition service unit (SPPG) kitchen providers must be certified by an accredited body, alongside hygiene and halal certification. SPPGs linked to food safety breaches have been suspended pending investigation.
