inp.polri.go.id - East Kalimantan. The East Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade unit, through the Disaster Response Team demonstrated a swift response in handling a fire that occurred in the Rawa Indah area, Palaran District, Samarinda City.

Upon receiving information about the fire, the Disaster Response Team, led by M. Zen Mahmudi, along with three other personnel, immediately moved to the location to conduct initial response and secure the surrounding area.

The fire was first detected around 11:10 PM. Upon arrival, personnel immediately coordinated with the fire department and relevant parties to expedite the response. Thanks to the swift response and synergy of all involved, the fire was finally completely extinguished around 1:20 AM.

Two homes were damaged by the fire. There were no fatalities or injuries. The cause of the fire is still under police investigation. Reported by TBN Kaltim, Sunday (August 16, 2026).

The Commander of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ronny Suseno, emphasized that personnel readiness is a crucial part of unit's commitment to providing protection and service to the public, including during emergency situations at night.

"The Disaster Response Team is always on standby to provide a rapid response in the event of a disaster or emergency within the community. The presence of personnel in the field demonstrates Brimob's commitment to providing protection and a sense of security to the community," stated Ronny Suseno.

He also appreciated the collaboration between police personnel, the fire department, the police, and the community who worked together to assist in the firefighting process until it was brought under control.
