The Drug Criminal Directorate of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit raids liquid methamphetamine lab in Bandara City Tower Apartment, Tangerang, Banten. The lab allegedly owned by Chinese nationals. INP Criminal Investigation Unit Vice Head, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri explains that his party have arrested five suspects, where three among them has been in the wanted list. Moreover, Asep explains that 20.8 kg of ketamine, 20.8 kg of ketamine, 20.7 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 17 liters of liquid methamphetamine were confiscated from the lab. “This case has been revealed following the information received by Sub-directorate IV on October 2023 regarding the shipping of ketamine from Batam to Jakarta,” says Asep. The case was then processed with the support from Soekarno Hatta Customs and Excise and expeditions service. Later on, on 1st November, 2023, the recipient stated that they would pick it up. “The arrest then decided to be conducted when the recipient took the items. We then found out that the ketamine will be produced in one of apartment rooms in Tangerang, Banten,” Asep reveals. The suspects will be charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) Jo. Article 132 Paragraph (1) Subsidiary Article 113 Paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 Paragraph (1) More Subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 Paragraph (1) Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
