inp.polri.go.id -  The National Police Traffic Corps emphasizes the importance of safety in driving, and needs to be paid attention by all drivers in the road. This was conveyed by AKBP Arief Bahtiar while attending a safety driving socialization at the National Police Traffic Education Center, Serpong, Banten. "Like our body, transportation is the blood where it supports the economy in advancing the national welfare. Traffic itself is crucial for our daily lives, thus it is something that must be managed properly," he explained, Saturday (17/9/22). He said traffic that if the traffic was not managed properly, it would have a huge impact on various sectors "to name a few is a congestion or traffic accidents," he explained. AKBP Arief Bahtiar added that traffic management has been mandated in the Road Traffic and Transportation Law No. 22 of 2009 and Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2013 concerning the Road Safety Action Decade Program, in which there are five pillars, which is Road Safety Management (by Bappenas), Safe Roads (by Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing), Safe Vehicles (by the Ministry of Transportation), Safe Road User Behavior (by the Police), and Pre and Post Accident Handling (by the Ministry of Health) "So, the five pillars are what are included in the safety plan to solve traffic problems," explained AKBP Arief Bahtiar.
