Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Five generals from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division took to the streets to distribute iftar meals to passing commuters around the INP Headquarters on Thursday (28/3/2024).
The generals were the INP Public Relations Division Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, Head of Public Information Bureau of the INP Public Relations Divisio Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of the Multimedia Unit of the INP Public Relations Division Police Brigadier General Gatot Repli Handoko, Head of Information and Documentation Management of the INP Public Relations Division Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, and Lead Public Relations Official of the INP Public Relations Division Brigadier General I Komang Sandi Arsana.
Initially, seeing police officers in uniform on the streets raised concerns among motorcycle riders, fearing a police inspection, as reported by antaranews.com.
However, upon realizing that iftar meals were being distributed, both motorcycle and car drivers smiled with joy.
"Thank you, officers. May the Police always succeed," said Solih (48), an online motorcycle taxi driver, after receiving a box of iftar meals.
A total of 1,000 boxes of iftar meals were distributed to passing commuters at the traffic lights near the Police Headquarters, including motorcycle riders, car drivers, and bus passengers.
"Let everyone have their share, whether they're on motorcycles or in cars," Inspector General Sandi said.
