inp.polri.go.id -  During the G20 Summit, the Ministry of Transportation will limit flights to and from Bali. "We urge the public to re-schedule their travel and anticipate changes in flight schedules to and from Bali," said Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati, quoted from Antara. This appeal is contained in the Letter of the Director General of Civil Aviation Number 12 of 2022 concerning Flight Operational Arrangements During the G20 Summit at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. The letter regulates a number of matters, including operating hours set for 24 hours and a ban on parking overnight (Remain Over Night/RON) for commercial flights at Ngurah Rai Airport—which is valid from 12 to 18 November. Even so, regular flights still operate although limited, due to flight operations from 13-17 November 2022 are prioritized for VVIP country guest flights. "Several state guests and G20 delegations are still using regular flights. Apart from that, flights to Bali have also been set, only via Soekarno Hatta Airport (CGK-DPS-CGK)," wrote the letter. The Ministry of Transportation also asked airport operators and airlines to clearly inform their customers regarding the latest regulations. "Such as information on changes to flight schedules, delays, cancellations, compensation, refund processes, and so on," continued Adita. Furthermore, Adita said that Indonesia as the host of the G20 Summit must ensure that the event runs smoothly, safely and in an orderly manner, including the matter of flight arrangements. "We have to suppress the flight disruption services during a series of G20 activities," he explained.
