Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) adjusted KRL Commuter Line operations on Sunday after flooding inundated several stations in Jakarta, disrupting rail infrastructure and train movements in Greater Jakarta.
“PT KAI has made operational adjustments at several affected stations to ensure passenger safety remains our top priority,” President Director Bobby Rasyidin said during a press briefing, as cited by antaranews.com.
The flooding affected stations including Kampung Bandan, Pasoso, Tanjung Priok, and Jakarta Kota, where water submerged parts of the tracks, forcing changes to service patterns on the Jakarta Kota loop line and routes to Tanjung Priok. The Bogor–Bekasi line was not impacted.
As a result, eight long-distance trains in the Greater Jakarta area were canceled, while several commuter services were rerouted or temporarily suspended. PT KAI management said that recovery efforts are ongoing to restore normal operations as conditions improve.
