Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Syafruddin Kambo, a retired Commissioner General and former Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), passed away on Thursday evening (20/2/2025) at the Pertamina Central Hospital, South Jakarta, due to illness.
“Former Deputy INP Chief Syafruddin has passed away,” confirmed Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division Head of the Public Information Bureau, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The late former INP Deputy Chief was 63.
A graduate of the Indonesian Police Academy’s 1985 class, he served as North Sumatra Regional Police Deputy Chief in 2009 and as the Head of the INP’s Profession and Security Division in 2012. He was appointed Deputy Chief of Polri in 2016, serving alongside former INP Chief General Tito Karnavian until 2018.
He later served as Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform under President Joko Widodo from 2018 to 2019.
