The Police Attaché of the French Embassy in Jakarta, Commandant De Police Chassot, praised the work of Tanjung Priok Sub-regional Port Police, for their quick respond to the mugging case that befell a French citizen and his child in the Sunda Kelapa Port area, North Jakarta (Jakut). He emphasized that the safety of French citizens is an important matter for the French government.

"I, Commandant De Police Chassot, the French Attaché, conveyed that the French Government would like to thank the extraordinary work of the Indonesian National Police (INP), particularly the Tanjung Priok Sub-regional Port Police for their work," said Chassot during a press conference at the Tanjung Priok Sub-regional Port Police HQ on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Chassot said optimal performance and dedication are needed in solving a case. He said the Tanjung Priok Sub-regional Port Police should be proud of the performance of its Criminal Investigation Unit investigators.

"As a police officer and former prosecutor, I fully understand the magnitude of work and dedication needed to solve this case. You can be proud of your teamwork and your work," praised Chassot.

He thanked and appreciated the disclosure of this case. He said France prioritizes good relations with the Indonesian government.
