The Indonesian National Police (INP) held the first Police Internal Strengthening Dialogue with the theme of “Supporting Asta Cita, Police Ready to Realize National Food Sustainability”. The dialogue was held in Grand Kemang Hotel and invited various experts from the police, agriculture ministry, and the public.
The Head Partnership Bureau of INP Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ahmad Musthofa Kamal says that police continue to be proactive in supporting national food sustainability.
Meanwhile, the Vice Director of INP Special Criminal Investigation Unit, Senior Superintendent Samsu Arifin highlights the concrete step of the police in monitoring the food distribution through its food task force.
"We continue to monitor the availability of supplies, distribution, and law enforcement against food irregularities. Recently, we handled a case of irregularities in oil and fertilizer products that did not meet standards, with 12 police reports being handled and 11 suspects who have been secured," he said.
He also emphasized that ahead of Ramadan and Eid, INP is tightening supervision to ensure that the distribution of basic necessities runs smoothly and to suppress the potential for price speculation.
Through this dialogue, INP affirmed its commitment to support the national food security program, ensuring the availability of safe, quality, and affordable food for the community.
