Inp.polri.go.id - Garut.  West Gate of Garut Pavilion in West Java remains open to the public following a deadly stampede during a public celebration of the wedding of Garut Deputy Regent Putri Kalina and Maulana Akbar, the son of West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, that killed three people..

“There is no police line. The crime scene investigation was completed on Friday night ,” said Garut Sub-regional Police Head of Public Relations Second Inspector Susilo Adhi on Sunday (20/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The stampede occurred as crowds surged into the pavilion seeking free food during the wedding celebration. Victims included a police officer, an elderly woman, and a child. Dozens fainted and were taken to hospital.

West Java Police and Garut Police have launched a joint investigation but chose not to restrict public access to the site.
