Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police issued traffic tickets to 14,733 motorists during the first week of Operation Patuh Candi 2025, a province-wide road safety campaign targeting major traffic violations.
Of those cited, 13,245 received manual tickets, while 1,488 were caught through electronic ticketing systems.
“Motorcyclists made up the majority of violators,” said Senior Superintendent Artanto, the Central Java Police Head of Public Relations, on Sunday (20/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He added that 12,580 drivers received verbal warnings for minor offenses. Most violations involved riders aged 16 to 35, with common offenses including failure to wear helmets, using illegal exhaust pipes, and running red lights.
Police also cited 994 underage drivers during the operation.
