Inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo. The Gorontalo Regional Police reaffirmed its commitment to fully investigate an ongoing case handled by the Boalemo Sub-regional Police by deploying a special task force from the General Crimes Directorate to back up local investigators.

The special unit provides additional officers, technical assistance, and resources to accelerate the investigative process, which includes active searches and deeper examinations into potential motives based on physical evidence gathered on the ground.

Director of General Crimes at the Gorontalo Police, Senior Superintendent Teddy Rachesna, urged the public to remain calm and refrain from speculating on social media while investigations remain active.

"Amid the influx of information circulating on social media, we urge the public not to easily believe or spread unverified rumors," he said on Sunday (26/7/2026). "Official updates regarding the case will only be issued through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) at Polres Boalemo as the authorized spokesperson."

The Gorontalo Police calls on all community elements to support the legal process so investigators can resolve the case thoroughly, professionally, and in accordance with applicable laws.
