inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Transportation Ministry assures the land transportation sector development will empower the local economy, particularly the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). 

“Therefore the development of the land transportation sector needs to collaborate with many parties, particularly in supporting MSMEs in the terminal,” says the Land Transportation Director General, Risyapudin Nursin on Wednesday (10/2/2024).

In the signing of the Cooperation Agreement on MSMEs Area Usage in Leuwipanjang Terminal, he says that collaboration between government and MSMEs and bus organizers are important to push sustainable MSMEs growth.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Transportation had also inaugurated the UMKM area at the Leuwipanjang Terminal, West Java. This UMKM area is expected to provide space for business actors to market their products and reach more customers.

"In the future, the Leuwipanjang Type A Terminal will not only be a transportation center but also an UMKM area to innovate and develop. We hope that the cooperation at the Leuwipanjang Terminal can be a start and can be applied to other Type A Terminals," he said.
