inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) invited the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam) to collaborate again in the National Action Plan for Countering Extremism (RAN PE) for the second period of 2025-2029.

Head of BNPT, Eddy Hartono says that the collaboration shows government presence in preventing Indonesian from extreme ideologies according to Law number 5 of 2018.

“One of the programs in our collaboration is RAN PE which has been going well so far,” says Head of BNPT.

In the first period, various prevention programs in the RAN PE have yielded good results, so that in the second period BNPT will also invite other ministries/institutions to continue to improve terrorism prevention through the RAN PE, including the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

The draft of the 2025-2029 National Action Plan for PE or the 2nd National Action Plan for PE has been submitted as a presidential regulation (perpres) which will continue and strengthen the first National Action Plan for PE.

In the first National Action Plan for PE, there are three pillars covering prevention, law enforcement, and capacity building, as well as international partnerships and cooperation.

The second National Action Plan for PE will cover nine main themes related to human security, one of which is national preparedness.

"This theme is focused on improving the capabilities of the apparatus, such as the vulnerability of the apparatus, facilities and infrastructure, to the need for skills for teachers and lecturers in preventing and overcoming violent extremism in educational institutions," concluded the Head of BNPT.
