Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian government has set 27 public holidays and collective leave days for 2025, as outlined in a Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) signed by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform.

Muhadjir Effendy, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), announced on Monday (14/10/2024) that the 27 days consist of 17 public holidays and 10 days of collective leave.

"The government has decided on 27 holidays for 2025," he said, as reported by antaranews.com.

Minister Muhadjir explained that these holidays are intended to provide guidance for the public, businesses, and government institutions when planning activities and programs.

The allocation also responds to suggestions for additional religious holidays, though any changes would require a Presidential Decree amendment. Regions with specific religious observances not covered can arrange local holidays.

The Ministry of Manpower will soon issue regulations for the private sector, while the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform will handle the public sector.
