Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government announced on Thursday (4/12/2025) that rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood-hit areas in Sumatra will begin immediately, with a targeted completion of key recovery measures within 100 days to help affected communities rebuild their lives.
“The rehabilitation and reconstruction phase is being prepared with a 100-day target and a one-year monitoring timeline to ensure measurable public oversight,” Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The directive follows President Prabowo Subianto’s instruction for all ministries, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to mobilize resources to meet victims’ basic needs.
The government is focusing not only on logistics distribution but also on restoring safety, stability, and hope for residents whose livelihoods were disrupted by the disaster.
