Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The government plans to implement a Flexible Work Arrangement starting 24 March 2025 , or seven days prior to Eid Al-Fitr holiday, aiming to ease travel congestion during the annual homecoming exodus.

Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said on Saturday (1/3/2025) that the policy,  under the coordination of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, allows employees to work remotely, spreading travel demand over a longer period.

"This is part of President Prabowo Subianto's directive to ensure a smoother, safer, and more affordable Eid homecoming," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The government is also synchronizing school holidays to further distribute travel flows. With Eid coinciding closely with Balinese Hindu’s Nyepi day of silence, managing road, air, and sea transport becomes crucial.
