Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini confirmed that the government will revisit plans to relocate civil servants to the new capital city, Nusantara (IKN), targeting implementation in 2026.
Speaking before Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Tuesday (22/4/2025), she explained that the postponement—initially planned for 2024—is due to ongoing restructuring within ministries and agencies under the newly established Red and White Cabinet.
“The official postponement notice was sent on 24 January 2025,” said Minister Rini, as quoted by antaranews.com
She added that the reorganization of institutional frameworks requires alignment of human resources and asset management with the new cabinet structure.
The minister emphasized that the relocation strategy must reflect current national development priorities.
“The final timeline is pending presidential direction, and the relevant Presidential Regulation has yet to be signed,” Minister Rini said.
