inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus inspected the construction progress of 106 buildings, consisting of 104 permanent housing units, one mosque, and one meeting hall for flood victims in Kuala Cangkoy Village, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, on Wednesday (2/25/2026).
This inspection was conducted to ensure the quality of the buildings so they would be suitable for use by disaster victims.
"We are working to ensure that the people affected by this disaster can return to normal life. Not only will they be provided with permanent housing, but also how their lives as fishermen can return to what it used to," said Lodewijk on Thursday (2/26/2026).
He explained that the construction of these 106 buildings was made possible thanks to collaboration between the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), and the local government.
During the visit, Lodewijk expressed his appreciation to the North Aceh Regent, the 011/Lilwangsa Military District Commander, the North Aceh Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), and other parties involved for their support in making the program a success.
This inter-agency collaboration demonstrates that the government is working together to alleviate the burden on disaster victims.
"The government is not only present during emergency response, but also ensures the continuity of recovery until people can truly return to dignified and productive lives," explained the Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs.
