In his statement, he revealed this as a step to prevent abuse of authority within the Ministry of Communication and Digital. According to him, it was a follow-up to the alleged involvement of his employees in handling online gambling sites.

"We took internal steps after the incident that happened yesterday, so we immediately conducted an audit of the technology system that we have and the governance in controlling this negative content," he explained on Tuesday (11/5/24).

Deputy Minister Nezar Patria explained that the audit and evaluation process was intended so that the access rights for handling the online gambling site could be trusted. That way, the use of access to handling the online gambling site is not misused by irresponsible individuals.

"This case has been handled as well as possible. We will not let any more individuals have the access, allowing online gambling to operate," he concluded.
