In eradicating online gambling, it is also important to audit the quality and integrity of human resources, especially within the Ministry of Communication and Digital.

"Blocking negative content is not enough if it is only revolving around done by blocking it. As of now, we are conducting a system audit and HR audit," she said on Tuesday (11/5/24).

After a meeting with Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Meutya said that her ministry remains careful in auditing the system as the system is still under investigation.

"The investigation caused us to not be able to make updates related to technology and systems," she explained.

She also revealed that the Ministry of Communication and Digital has formed a special working team involving various parties to eradicate online gambling. Including the Electronic System Organizer Ecosystem (PSE) and the media.

"It is important to us to do literacy program compiling and campaigns, as well as education to combat online gambling," she concluded.
