Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin announced that the government will expedite the issuance of Hygiene and Sanitation Eligibility Certificates (SHLS) to ensure all state-run nutrition service unit (SPPG) kitchens meet safety standards under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
“We will accelerate so that all SPPG units comply with standards of cleanliness, personnel, and processes,” he said after a coordination meeting on Extraordinary Events (KLB) linked to MBG food poisoning cases, Sunday (28/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The meeting, led by Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, agreed that SHLS will become a mandatory requirement for every Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).
Minister Budi added that the Health Ministry, together with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), will tighten oversight across the food chain, from ingredient selection and preparation to serving. He stressed the measures aim to prevent further food poisoning incidents after recent outbreaks affected thousands of MBG recipients across Indonesia.
