inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) is encouraging villages to fully utilize the various government programs currently flowing to rural areas to boost the local economy and accelerate development.

"The hope is that we can utilize all of them and in the future, accelerate village development," said Samsul Widodo, Director General of Accelerated Development of Disadvantaged Regions on Monday (9/15/2025).

Samsul noted the government programs that villages can optimize in accelerating development and improving the economy, including the food security program, energy security, Free Nutritious Meals, and the Red and White Village Cooperative .

"It's also very detrimental for education, health, the Red and White Village and Sub-district Cooperatives," said Samsul.

Director General Samsul stated that from 2015 to 2025, the total village funds disbursed by the government reached more than IDR 681 trillion, with an annual allocation of approximately IDR 71 trillion.

According to Director General Samsul, this potential must be optimized by all parties in villages to become the primary drivers of rural industrialization.
