Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian tennis player Aldila Sutjiadi and Mexican partner Giuliana Olmos finished runner-up at the Guadalajara WTA 500 after losing the doubles final on Sunday.
The second-seeded duo fell 3-6, 4-6 to top seeds Nicole Melichar-Martinez of the United States and Irina Khromacheva of Russia in a match lasting 1 hour and 16 minutes.
“Guadalajara’s high altitude was a real challenge, but we fought hard,” Aldila said, as reported by antaranews.com on Monday (15/9/2025)
She noted the stark contrast with her previous tournament at the US Open.
Despite delivering 70.7 percent first serves, Aldila/Olmos were outpaced as their opponents scored three aces and converted more break points. The pair had reunited after partnering at the Cincinnati Masters and Washington’s Citi DC Open earlier this season.
Currently ranked No. 50 in WTA doubles, Aldila continues her push on the global circuit, with the Guadalajara final marking another career milestone despite the setback.
