Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) has partnered with 30 universities and industries from China to accelerate research commercialization and industrialization across key sectors.
“This collaboration is about the matches of workforce and innovation,” said Deputy Minister Stella Christie during the 2025 China–Indonesia Education–Industry Collaboration Summit in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/10/2025). “We want our own graduates to become skilled experts working in major companies, including Chinese firms operating here. And we want our researchers’ innovations to scale up through industry partnerships.”
She emphasized that innovation-driven industries are essential for economic growth, adding that in developed nations, most groundbreaking ideas emerge from universities rather than corporations. The initiative will connect Indonesian researchers with Chinese institutions to enhance applied research, workforce quality, and technology transfer.
She added that China was chosen due to its growing educational ties with Indonesia and affordable, high-quality study opportunities that attract many Indonesian students, as reported by antaranews.com.
