Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto outlined his strategy to achieve 8 percent economic growth during the Forbes CEO Conference 2025 in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/10/2025), citing his nationwide Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program and foreign investment expansion as key drivers.

“I believe 8 percent growth is entirely achievable. Through the free meal program alone, we have created around 1.5 million direct jobs,” he said during an exclusive session with Forbes Chairman Steve Forbes, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The president detailed that over 30,000 community kitchens now employ 50 workers each, creating ripple effects for local suppliers of eggs, vegetables, meat, and spices. He also emphasized Indonesia’s vast reserves of nickel, bauxite, and copper, and its 40,000 aging oil wells that could be revitalized with modern drilling technology.

The forum, attended by more than 400 global CEOs and investors, showcased Indonesia’s economic resilience and growth ambitions amid global slowdown and energy crises.
