inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, revealed that the Indonesian government is committed to expanding scholarships for vocational high school students who want to work abroad.

He explained that this plan follows up on President Prabowo Subianto's statement that he wanted to improve scholarships for the public, particularly scholarships that lead to immediate employment, namely vocational scholarships.

"This vocational scholarship is open to vocational high schools (SMK) that want to work abroad and have a clear job market. So, if the destination country has a clear job market, the government will not hesitate to find scholarships for the students," he said, as reported by RRI on Saturday (10/25/2025).

He further explained that a similar scheme will be implemented, utilizing the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) scholarship program.

According to him, this is being done to promote the empowerment dimension in every program implemented by the government.

"The LPDP will also be developed in the medium and long term. We will promote empowerment and add a special vocational scholarship program, particularly for vocational programs abroad and domestically," he explained.
