inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police initiated the 'free vaccine' program in the context of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Five days later, the police said that almost 100 percent of the capital's residents had now been vaccinated against the first stage of the COVID-19 vaccine. "The latest data on the fifth day of Jakarta residents who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the first dose is 94.32 percent," said Head of Public Relations of Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police, Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus in his statement, Thursday (08/05/2021). That number is said to have increased. The reason is, in mid-July 2021, Yusri said there were only 84.55 percent of Jakarta residents who received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The independent vaccine program was considered enthusiastically welcomed by the residents. In his review at the Cipulir Village, South Jakarta today, Yusri said there were 285 residents who were vaccinated against COVID-19 at the location. "Residents are very enthusiastic about vaccinating against COVID-19 so that communal immunity or herd immunity can immediately be formed," explained the Head of Public Relations. The same thing was found in the Grafur Print Building, North Sukabumi Village, West Jakarta. Yusri said there were 66 people who signed up for vaccination. 45 people enrolled in the vaccine for the first dose, and 15 people for the second dose. Meanwhile, 6 people had to be postponed due to health reasons so that only 60 people were vaccinated today. The independent vaccine program initiated by the Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police will be carried out from August 1 to August 17, 2021. Through this program, it is hoped that the percentage of Jakarta residents who have been vaccinated against the first dose of COVID-19 will reach 100 percent on August 17, 2021. "The independent vaccine program aims to give a birthday gift to 100 percent of residents who are vaccinated with the first dose on the 76th Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2021," concluded the Head of Public Relations.
