Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. State-owned Enterprise Vice Minister, Rosan Roeslani revealed EV Ecosystem and Value Chain is the most attractive project in ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF).
“There are three project (presentation) of EV Ecosystem and Value Chain that attracted up to more than 50 investors. We could not even fit them in,” said Rosan proudly.
Energy transition and green energy have become the topic of the day lately. Southeast Asia has set to reduce the gas emission based on project data due to how vulnerable the trade in the region if there is no act against climate change.
The 43rd ASEAN Summit shows that its members are committed to further use clean energy. During AIPF, the main topic discussion was renewable energy, green hydrogen development, green ammonia, refinery alumina, battery value chain, as well as highway and port infrastructure.
On the other hand, Australia states that clean energy has become one of their four main priority sectors while pushing cooperation. Foreign Vice Minister Pahala Mansury revealed that Asia has become main investment for Australia, in line with Australia South East Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
Meanwhile, Japan Premier Fumio Kishida states that Japan will improve the conectivitiy with ASEAN state members, particularly on infrastructure and transportation development, digital connectivity, maritime, green energy, supply chain resilience, and human resource and its development.
Additionally, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau conveys his hope of developing more innovative cooperation that focus on human resource development, infrastructure, maritime management, disaster mitigation and management, as well as renewable energy.
Business matching in AIPF have attracted more than 185 investors from Indonesia and foreign countries. Report states that the event have identified potential cooperation that has the value up to US$33 billion.
“Although we cannot fund today’s meeting, we hope that the business matching could elevate our cooperation and understanding regarding the need of investment for each country,” says Pahala on AIPF press conference, Wednesday (9/82/2023).
