Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia calculate cooperation projects that have been agreed in ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) has reached US$32 billion. As the host of AIPF in the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Indonesia also pitch cooperations with foreign countries with a total of US$810 million.
“Although we cannot fund today’s meeting, we hope that the business matching could elevate our cooperation and understanding regarding the need of investment for each country,” says the Foreign Vice Minister Pahala Mansury on AIPF press conference, Wednesday (9/82/2023).
The AIPF business matching was attended by 185 investors from Indonesia and foreign states. Some notable investors are Bank Mandiri, Bank Permata, Bank SBI Indonesia, Bank CCB Indonesia, Bank Jawa Barat, Astra Infrastruktur, Amman Mineral, Dian Swastatika Sentosa, AIIB, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo (SMBC), Commerzbank, ACWA (Saudi Arabia), EDF Energy (Prancis), KEPCO (Korea), IGNIS (Spanyol), China Railway Corporation, Sinohydro, China State Construction Engineering, Siemens (German), Inpex Geothermal (Jepang), British Columbia (Canada), and Actis (Inggris).
Business sectors that were promoted through AIPF include renewable energy development, hydrogen, ammonia, alumina refineries, battery supply chains, as well as highway and port infrastructure.
According to State-owned Enterprise Vice Minister, Rosan Roeslani, sectors that attract many investors are green energy and electric vehicle battery ecosystem.
“There are many who wants to be involved in digitalized sector because they saw many potentials of our people in which many of them still untouched by formal financing,” Rosan said.
