Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian shuttler Gregoria Mariska Tunjung has won the bronze medal in women’s singles badminton at the Paris 2024 Olympics after semifinalist Carolina Marin withdrew due to injury on Sunday (4/8/2024).
In the semifinal, Gregoria lost to South Korea's An Seo-young with scores of 21-11, 13-21, 16-21. Meanwhile, during the match between Marin and He Bingjiao, Marin sustained a knee injury while leading 21-14, 10-6.
Unable to continue, Marin’s withdrawal guaranteed Gregoria the bronze medal, as reported by antaranews.com.
