Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Pelita Jaya Jakarta won the IBL 2024 championship with a 73-65 victory over Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta in Game 3 of the finals at Indomilk Arena Tangerang on Sunday (4/8/2024).
After finishing as runners-up from 2021 to 2023, Pelita Jaya claimed their second IBL title in a fiercely contested match, as reported by antaranews.com.
Satria Muda took an early lead, 15-23, in the first quarter. However, Pelita Jaya dominated the second quarter with a 23-3 run, leading 38-26 at halftime.
Satria Muda rallied in the third quarter, closing the gap to 54-48. Despite leveling the score at 61-61 with 2 minutes remaining, Satria Muda couldn’t hold off Pelita Jaya, who secured the win with a final score of 73-65.
Jerome Anthony Beane Jr. was pivotal for Pelita Jaya, scoring 23 points and making 6 steals. Muhamad Arighi added 13 points, and K.J. McDaniels contributed another 13 points.
For Satria Muda, Reynaldo Garcia Zamora led with 18 points, followed by Abraham Damar Grahita with 15 points and Artem Pustovyi with 13 points.
