inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochammad Irfan Yusuf emphasized that his ministry will take firm action against any violations or misappropriation of funds or positions in the Hajj administration, both domestically and in Saudi Arabia.

"I emphasize to the departing team: there must be no thought of profiting even one rupiah from what we do, either in Indonesia or in Saudi Arabia," the Minister of Hajj emphasized on Wednesday (1/14/2026).

The Minister reminded all Hajj pilgrim funds to be spent appropriately according to needs and managed accountably, for the benefit and well-being of the pilgrims.

"We must spend these pilgrim funds according to their needs to ensure that this year and in subsequent years, the management of Hajj funds remains accountable. Our primary focus is the interests and well-being of the pilgrims," said Minister Irfan.

According to the Minister of Hajj, the annual turnover of Hajj funds is enormous, reaching around IDR 18 trillion, so their management demands responsibility that is not only administrative, but also moral and spiritual.

"We know that the turnover of Hajj funds is very large, around IDR 18 trillion. However, we have to remember that our accountability is not only of this world, but also in the afterlife," said Irfan Yusuf.

To ensure optimal oversight, the Minister of Hajj stated that there are two directorates with law enforcement authority within the Ministry of Hajj: the Inspectorate General and the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah Management.

"I give full authority to the Inspectorate General and the Directorate General of Management to enforce the law if necessary," said Minister of Hajj Irfan Yusuf.

He added that the congregation's funds must be managed as well and as efficiently as possible to maintain the congregation's trust in the Hajj administration.

"The management of congregational funds must be managed as well and as efficiently as possible," concluded Minister of Hajj Irfan Yusuf.
