inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has abundant intellectual property potentials that the government aims to promote to the representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Swiss.

“Our intellectual property is mostly linked to tradition and culture. Almost all of our intellectual property incorporates elements of local culture," says the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno on Wednesday (7/17/2024).

In his remarks, he says that his party will work together with various stakeholders to protect the local tradition and culture. The vast tradition and culture of Indonesia have become the main attraction for tourism and the creative economy.

“Not only act as the source of inspiration, the vast tradition and culture of Indonesia have also become the main attraction for tourism and creative economy. Therefore, we will protect these rich traditions and cultures so that it will not be erased in time,” said Minister Uno.

In his closing remarks, Minister Uno will soon promote one of traditional arts from West Sumatra, which is Tari Piring. This dance art is one of many traditional arts from Indonesia.
