inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Health has officially opened a hotline for complaints related to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. This step was taken to follow up on reports of suspected poisoning that occurred in several regions.
People experiencing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or shortness of breath due to MBG can immediately report it. Complaints can be submitted through the call center 119 or WhatsApp number +62 87777591097.
"Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or shortness of breath after consuming MBG? Don't wait until it gets worse. Immediately call 119 or go to the nearest community health center to get the immediate treatment," said the Ministry of Health in an Instagram post @kemenkes_ri, Monday (6/10/2025).
The Ministry of Health emphasized that every public complaint will be directly handled by the Public Safety Center (PSC) team. This mechanism ensures prompt handling of suspected poisoning that occurs in the field.
In addition to opening the hotline, the government is also tightening supervision of MBG provider kitchens throughout Indonesia. Supervision is carried out on cleanliness, sanitation, and the quality of the food ingredients used.
Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that supervision is carried out by standardizing reporting, food certification, and multi-layered supervision.
"We want to standardize reports and case numbers," the Minister said.
The Ministry of Health, along with the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and the National Agency for National Food Security (BGN), will be part of an integrated certification system to ensure food is safe and meets standards. Furthermore, an accelerated certification process has been prepared to avoid delays in distribution.
