Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Social media posts circulating on Facebook claiming that the Attorney General's Office building on Jalan Panglima Polim, South Jakarta, was set on fire by protesters during demonstrations in July 2026 have been confirmed as false.
Fact-checking investigations revealed no credible news reports supporting claims that the Attorney General’s Office’s building was burned down during recent demonstrations. While public protests did involve moments of friction, tire burning, and pushing between demonstrators and security forces, the physical infrastructure of the Kejagung building remained undamaged and was not burned by protesters.
Official fact-checking clarifies that circulating claims asserting the Kejagung building was burned during demonstrations between 21 July and 23 July 2026, are completely false.
