Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. As Christmas and New Year Eve approaching, public transportations have been flocked by people searching for tickets, as was seen in trains. Indonesian Trains (KAI) have released a report showing 180,000 tickets has been sold out with the departure from Gambir Station and Senen Station. Among the thousands of the tickets, most of the tickets were booked for the three days before Christmas and New Year Eve. “From those numbers, majority were booked for four days to three days before the Christmas, which are on December 22nd and 23rd,” says PR Manager of Jakarta KAI Ixfan Hendri Wintoko on Thursday (11/30/2023). KAI also released the top destinations from the thousands ticket sold, which are Yogyakarta Surabaya, Purwokerto, Kutoarjo, Semarang, Tegal, Solo, and Bandung. Ixfan also reminds passengers that they could order the tickets through online service. “Ticket reservations for Christmas could be bought 45 days before the scheduled time for KAJJ and 30 days before the scheduled time for KA Pangrango Local,” add Ixfan. “Meanwhile, the counter at the station only sold the go show tickets from three hours before the departure,” he concluded.
