Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Chief of the Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri, has warned security forces against being provoked by the disturbances by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.
"The distance between Paro District and Kenyam District is vast, so we advise sub-regional police chiefs to refrain from pursuing the KKB," he said on Friday (1/12/23).
He explained that the recent shooting incident at the Indonesian Military post in Paro District, which led to the deaths of two of its members, was characterized as a disturbance rather than a direct attack. In response, General Fakhiri urged security forces to remain vigilant and prevent the recurrence of disturbances from the KKB, antaranews.com reported.
"Many KKB members have already been arrested, and we aspire to broaden these efforts to uncover all their networks in the future," he said.
