Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian clarified that the selection of the venue and service provider for the Regional Leaders’ Retreat, held from 21–28 February  2025, in Magelang, Central Java, adhered to regulations.

Speaking at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (7/3/2025), he cited Presidential Regulation  No. 12 of 2021, which amended Perpres No. 16 of 2018 on Government Procurement.

“If we refer to Article 38 of Presidential Regulation 16/2018, as amended by Presidential Regulation 12/2021, direct appointment is permitted when only one provider is capable of delivering the required goods or services,” Minister Tito explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He emphasized that the chosen venue had proven its capacity during last year’s Cabinet Retreat and provided optimal security for the President and Vice President.

Minister Tito also defended the appointment of PT Lembah Tidar as the event’s service provider, saying that it was the only company willing to meet the government's requirements.
