Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has detected the Hunter Moon, a full moon in October, which can be observed across Indonesia without posing any danger.

Syrojudin, the Head of BMKG's Geophysical Potential Team, said on Wednesday (16/10/2024) that the Hunter Moon is expected to occur from Wednesday to Friday, with its peak on Wednesday. In western Indonesia, the moon will rise at 5.39 pm and set at 5.03 am.

The phenomenon will not be hazardous, but BMKG warned of potential effects on sea tides during the full moon, particularly for coastal communities. 

Despite this, the Hunter Moon can be safely viewed with the naked eye unless weather conditions, such as rain, interfere.
